Handcrafted Wooden Ocean Animal Mechanical Model
The Ocean,
Made to Move.
A handcrafted wooden automaton inspired by the quiet, graceful rhythm of life beneath the surface.
Not simply made to be seen.
Made to come alive.
Known for their peaceful nature and graceful movement, whale sharks are among the ocean's most fascinating creatures. This piece translates that gentle rhythm into wood and motion — a quiet reminder to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.
Carefully balanced segments move together to recreate the smooth, flowing motion of a shark swimming through water.
Sculpture when still.
Alive when moving.
Three Creatures.
One Ocean Collection.
The Whale Shark was only the beginning. Each member of the collection shares the same handcrafted mechanical spirit while keeping its own unmistakable form, markings and movement.
Whale Shark · Hammerhead · Manta Ray
Choose the one that speaks to you, or bring them together as a growing collection of moving ocean art.
From the First Cut
to the Final Movement.
Every piece passes through a hands-on process of shaping, carving, sanding, assembly, painting and fine adjustment. The goal is simple: movement that feels natural, and craftsmanship worth looking at even when the piece is still.
An Idea Takes Shape
Every automaton begins by studying the form, proportions and natural movement of the animal.

Fine-Tuning the Motion
The final stage is adjustment. Each connection and moving element is checked so the finished motion feels smooth, quiet and balanced.
A Gift That
Stays With Them.
More than a wooden sculpture, it is a small reminder of curiosity, calm and the quiet beauty of the ocean. Something to display, watch, share — and remember.
“I saw this and thought of you.”
Sometimes the best gifts do not need a long explanation. They simply remind someone that you know what they love.

Inspired by an Encounter in Western Australia.
The idea began with the unforgettable sight of a whale shark moving slowly and effortlessly through the water.
During a trip to Western Australia, the designer had the opportunity to encounter whale sharks in their natural habitat near Ningaloo Reef.
Watching these gentle giants move with such calm and grace left a lasting impression. Years later, that memory became the starting point for this automaton.
Inspired by nature, movement and the ocean, each piece is designed to turn a simple material — wood — into something that feels unexpectedly alive.
A Small Piece of the Ocean,
